Just when you think the beauty of a cherry blossom tree can't be matched, a spring cardinal lands on it's branch.

Few things match the elegance of a cherry blossom tree in full bloom. A vibrant, red cardinal being the exception to that, of course. But to get them both in one photo? That is a real treasure.

I love the simplicity of this photo.

I actually got lucky with this picture. Just the right place at the right time type of situation. I was at a friend's apartment and happened to have my camera out when this gorgeous cardinal landed on the cherry blossom branch. I was like omg PLEASE don't move! And it thankfully posed for a photo!
