May 7 - Half

My son is playing tee ball this year and is really into it, so we have a few baseballs casually laying around. We also have a tree stump in the backyard that he and his friends occasionally play on. So my son and I were back there this afternoon playing on the tree stump after a bunch of rain came through, and I noticed how rich and dark the brown looked after being soaked from all the rain. And with the vibrant green grass surrounding it, my mind immediately went to OMG I need to photograph a baseball on this stump because the contrast would be equally fantastic. And I think I was right! So today's subject is half of a baseball against a tree stump. There's an element of elegance even though the ball is clearly dirty. This was a fun photo to take!
