May 11 - On Top

I asked my son to help me with this photo, he's four and loves rocks (like most four-year-old boys) so I asked him to make a pile of them, and my idea was that I would take the photo as he was putting the final rock "on top." He did a good job with this little zen rock stack! It was a bit challenging to get creative for this topic around my neighborhood, but I got inspired while sitting on my front steps watching all the kids play outside. We have some rocks in front of the house around a few stepping stones and it occurred to me that they might make a cool picture if we stacked them zen-style. My favorite part is that my son's hand is in the photo!
